Razordolls: When did you start painting??

Deseo: I work in mixed mediums graphite and digital. But art has been a main part of my life for as long as I can remember. I’m going through a transitional phase with my work currently so I’m anxious to see what will happen when I start painting.

Razordolls: Where are you from??

Deseo: I was born in a small town in Mexico, called Taxco. My family moved here when I was about 9 years old.

Razordolls: Main art influences??

Deseo: There are too many to mention all. If I had to just name a few, Katsuya Terrada, Alphonse Mucha, Gil Elvgren, ryuchiro kutsuzawa have made a huge impact on the way I perceived art from different aspects.

Razordolls: Do you have to get in the "zone" to paint, or do you just jump right into it??

Deseo: Yeah, I do. I usually work late at night. There’s something about working late that gets me in the groove. when I have deadlines to meet, I just have to focus more and find a more direct source of inspiration to get me started.

Razordolls: What kind of Music do you listen to??

Deseo: All sorts. I’m surprised I’m an artist and actually not a musician. Right now my favorite music is chill electronic. Drum and bass, hip hop, rock. If it’s well made, it’s all good.

Razordolls: How did you develop your style??

Deseo: Learning styles from different artists and ideas from different types of art. It’s like taking all your favorite ingredients from your favorite foods and making your own recipe.

Razordolls: Do you have any crazy art gallery moments??

Deseo: I’m still pretty new in the art scene, things are picking up though. Nothing I consider crazy thus far.

Razordolls: Whats your biggest accomplishment in terms of Art??

Deseo: I’ll be featured in volume fourteen of spectrum fantasy art. I was one of the few independent artists to be picked.

Razordolls: Do people ever send you pictures of tattoos of your work??

Deseo: No, but I’ve been asked several times to give permission to have my work used.

Razordolls: What do you think of porn??

Deseo: Shit, I watch it. Judging from my art, you would guess I find women to be beautiful. I don’t have a problem with sex. The media is more concerned with seeing nudity as opposed to watching someone being murdered every five minutes on tv. Seems backwards to me.

Razordolls: What kind of girls are you into??

Deseo: I find girls of all colors beautiful. good character, cultured, curvy.

Razordolls: Do you have any "art groupies?" I don’t know.

Razordolls: Any Crazy Sexual Exploits to brag about??

Deseo: Haha. Yeah, I do. But you never know who’ll read this.

Razordolls: What do you think of razordolls??

Deseo: I dig both, the culture and hot ladies.

Razordolls: Do you think Porn should ever become an accepted art form??

Deseo: Sex has been an accepted form of art in previous cultures. So to some degree, I think it already is an accepted form. Besides, who’s to decide what should and shouldn’t be considered art?

Razordolls: What upcoming artists should we look out for??

Razordolls: Do you like Horror Movies? If so What's your Favorite??

Deseo: I can never take horror movies seriously. But 28 days later is one of my favorite movies and shook me up a bit. 28 weeks later was alright too.

Razordolls: Whats your opinion on the art scene today??

Deseo: there’s not much of a scene for me where I live, but from the support I’ve been getting from the west coast, I’d say the scene there’s great.

Razordolls: Whats your biggest problem with society today??

Deseo: Hmmmm.. it’s the same problem that it’s been for a while. no one likes to admit they’re wrong, the “problem” always seems to lay elsewhere. Destroy and conquer.
