Razordolls: When did you start painting??
Penpointred: I've been drawing since forever but really got into painting as my main medium about 3 years ago. Started noticing some graff around Portland.. that led to guys like Barry Mcgee, Jeff Soto.. people mixing street technique with fine art.

Razordolls: Where are you from??
Penpointred: born in Sacramento. Moved to Medford fu*kin Oregon when I was 14. Moved up to Eugene at 21. Had way too much fun for my own good. Then moved to Portland about 4 years ago.

Razordolls: Main art influences??
Penpointred: everything really :) but as far as people in the "art" world I'd say old comic book artists like Travis Charest and Art Adams. New art coming out of Blaine Fontana and Deseo One have def made me step up my game.

Razordolls: Do you have to get in the "zone" to paint, or do you just jump right into it??
Penpointred: what can I say? I smoke the green. it's how I roll. Other than that I usually get some rowdy public art done first (gets my creative juices flowin then I sit in a crack position for hours playing Gears of War on the 360 while painting between rounds. I have my 360 packed with beats so it's all there. good times.

Razordolls: What kind of Music do you listen to??
Penpointred: I listen to alot of Breakcore these days. Enduser/BongRa/Rotator/Edgey. Really hard drum and bass or jungle beats just broke to shit. Very inspirational.

Razordolls: How did you develop your style??
Penpointred: in the day I used to use alot of dark imagery. very outlined and bold... but one day I did a painting without using any black. Tough for me but I liked how it worked and thats where it goes. I'm also pretty positive I have adult ADD and it shows in my work. I'll be working on something then all of a sudden I'm changing direction pullin out some image that just seemed to pop out of some far left field. I just go with the flow.

Razordolls: Do you have any crazy art gallery moments??
Penpointred: no... sadly everythings been pretty cut and dry. The Jawbreaker in Eugene was interesting cause it's in the whitaker neighborhood which is an odd odd ODD lil place and the gallery just had the same feel. Felt like anything could happen to me while setting up and it wouldnt shock me.

Razordolls: Whats your biggest accomplishment in terms of Art??
Penpointred: Oh that would be doing live art with my buddy Warcock as a backdrop for Doormouse. It was so much fun cuttin loose with the cans while he was blastin some madass beats. Alot of people were there and we were all announced n stuff. good times.

Razordolls: Do people ever send you pictures of tattoos of your work??
Penpointred: no, not yet. but I have done a few designs for friends. I did however see a "KIll your parents" picture I did way back in high school (that got me alot of shit rom faculty) used as a myspace profile pic. No idea how he ended up with it but flattered anyways. Some industrial club forum. Fitting cause I was a hell of a rivet head way back when.

Razordolls: What do you think of porn??
Penpointred: it solves alot of stress in the world. It's de-stressed me for years and years now and I'm sure many years and years more.

Razordolls: What kind of girls are you into??
Penpointred: I like all girls. I do. Beauty def isn't confined to one form BUT I have a weekness for the asian persuasion.... and thick girls :) especially thick asian girls. damn.

Razordolls: Do you have any "art groupies"??
Penpointred: I have some friends that hook me up with food for tagging up their work bathrooms. they're my guy groopies. No girl groopies yet that I know of (holler me out if your there)

Razordolls: Any Crazy Sexual Exploits to brag about??
Penpointred: ..... i'm not one to fu*k and tell.

Razordolls: What do you think of razordolls??
Penpointred: It's always nice to see badass hot girls that can def kick my ass anytime. Gorgeous.

Razordolls: Whos your favorite razordoll??
Penpointred: All of em are gorgeous but I have to go with Jaidee st. James. I think she's way pretty.

Razordolls: Do you think Porn should ever become an accepted art form??
Penpointred: definately. you can incorporate sexual imagery without being cliche. Already alot of art orientated porn out there that has alot more visual depth compared to some of the done and over done again art house movies being produced.

Razordolls: What upcoming artists should we look out for??
Penpointred: Deseo One's shit is hot. I'm sure he'll be brakin out big anytime now.

Razordolls: Do you like Horror Movies? If so What's your Favorite??
Penpointred: 28 days later is my all time favorite. Tomie and 3 Extremes (dumplings) are very close too. I also really like the Ginger Snaps movies and Feast.

Razordolls: Whats your opinion on the art? scene today??
Penpointred: I'm pretty excited. Seems like alot of people who grew up on the same stuff that I did as a kid are now kinda running things, bringing in goodness from back in the day. It's mashed up fun from comics, tv, toys, porn :)

Razordolls: Whats your biggest problem with society today??
Penpointred: I just can't believe you know who got reelected. shit. its a sad statement on the populous of this country. Other than that I can't wait till stem cell research has a big green light. then they can copy parts of animals... that way I can eat a juicy steak with the comfort knowing no animal died for it. One day.
