Razordolls: Can you tell us a little about you?
Andy: Born and raised on punk rock, wasted a bunch of my life bein' a drunk. Now that I've cut that down to minimum, I've been immersing myself in all different types of artwork.

Razordolls: How long have you been tattooing?
Andy: Roughly 6 years.

Razordolls: What got you interested in the business?
Andy: I was going to artschool for graphic design, started painting flash for a few tattooers...

Razordolls: Where did you learn to tattoo/who did you apprentice under?
Andy: Cobra Custom Tattoo in Plymouth, MA. I was taught by Forrest Cavacco. Very traditional fellow.

Razordolls: When did you get your first tattoo and who did it?
Andy: I tattooed my kneecap with a sewing needle when I was 12 (right around when I started drinkin').

Razordolls: What is your favorite part about being a tattoo artist?
Andy: Getting to create art and live by my own rules.

Razordolls: How do you like the shop you're currently at?
Andy: I love it.

Razordolls: What are your feelings about the tattoo scene in your area?
Andy: A little behind on the times, very biker-esque still.
Razordolls: Ah, I see. Leather vests and bandanas!

Razordolls: How many shops have you worked at altogether?
Andy: 4

Razordolls: Do you do guest spots at other shops?
Andy: Not as much as I'd like. I want to get out there and get more influences.

Razordolls: Who are some of your favorite tattoo artists?
Andy: Any traditonal artists. Scott Sylvia, Jeff Whitehead, Tim Lehi, Joe Truck, Zach Johnson, and Iggy "mutha fuckin" Vans...

Razordolls: Do you feel your work is influenced by any of those artists in particular?
Andy: Scott Sylvia's roses.

Razordolls: Are there any artists, non-tattooists, that have influenced your work?
Andy: Is alcohol considered an artist?
Razordolls: Hahaha...not really. :)

Razordolls: What is your goal as a tattoo artist?
Andy: To do nice clean work.

Razordolls: Are there any artists you REALLY want to get tattooed by? Or name a few of the artists you have work by.
Andy: Scott Sylvia, but I mostly get tattooed by friends at this point (not much room left).

Razordolls: How do you feel about your own tattoos? Have you ever tattooed yourself?
Andy: Some of them suck, I got heavily tattooed in a short amount of time.

Razordolls: Do you have a favorite tattoo?
Andy: No, I just like the overall effect of having alot of tattoos.

Razordolls: What are your thoughts on flash?
Andy: Some is good, alot is bad. People rehashing old images and calling it their own sucks.

Razordolls: Would you think about getting an entire arm or leg blacked out because you don't like the work on it anymore?
Andy: I have always thought that looks incredibly stupid.
Razordolls: I have to agree with you there.

Razordolls: What about getting tattoos removed by laser?
Andy: I'd do it if I wasn't poor.

Razordolls: What do you think of the "hackers and scratchers" that are out there?
Andy: Fuck them!

Razordolls: Are you planning on attending any conventions soon?
Andy: I'd like to.

Razordolls: Where do you see yourself in 10 years or more? Still tattooing?
Andy: Yep, hopefully for myself at my own shop.

Razordolls: How are things going for you in the love department?
Andy: Awesome, I'm married to a hot chick!

Razordolls: What's your view on heavily tattooed women?
Andy: Fuckin' sexy as hell!

Razordolls: What are your feelings regarding porn?
Andy: I'm still waiting for my membership to Razordolls dammit!
