It finally happened, Napalm Death released there most hardcore, in your face album since the early nineties! Their Lyrics Scream with the intensity of how organized religion has taken over and screwed up our world. I definitely have enjoyed playing my ears to death with this killer set of sixteen non-stop brain damaging Tracks! Smear Campaign is the thirteenth, full length release album, since their premier debut album "Scum".

Aiden's Halloween release, the "Rain in Hell" EP, has the sort of momentous melodies & contagious composition that not only pull the already devoted fans closer, but reel new ones in. Although the words tend to reach out more to their angsty teen audience, they seem to creep their way into the consciousness of anyone who has dealt with adolescent turmoil.

The first time around, I wasn't sure what to make of this band. But upon my second review, Endwell grew on me. And quite quickly at that! Not sure what it was, but the combination of Hardcore & Screamo just reeled me in. Musically, "Homeland Insecurity" has a lot to offer. With captivating riffs & well-written lyrics, this CD leaves you anticipating the next tune.

Circa Survive blew us all away with their full length debut in 2005, "Juturna" which happens to be my favorite release of that year. Circa consists of Anthony Green, original vocalist of Saosin, as well as Nick Beard, ex-bassist of Taken, two guys from the underrated metalcore band, This Day Forward and a newbie who has definitely made his mark with this band. "On Letting Go" intertwines effects-driven "screaming" guitars, as they call them, which I must say is a very fitting name, with well a composed rhythm section and the powerful voice of new star, Anthony Green. Anthony's agonizing wails capture a certain sense of depression and desperation, while still remaining insanely pleasing to the ear. The catchy lyrics and wonderful vocal melodies keep the album from feeling down in the dumps although the overall vibe at first listen would be just that.

The first thing that came to mind upon reviewing the titles of the songs that Nights Like These had to offer was that they were yet another hardcore band, chasing the dream of "making it". But the moment the actual album, "The Faithless", started playing, I wasn't sure what to make of my intial assumption. I heard metal, & not decent metal.

When I first I picked up this album, I honestly had no idea what sort of band this was going to be. I had never heard one song of their's, nor had I even heard of them. But after listening to Spitalfield's newest album release, "Better than Knowing Where You Are", I was impressed. It could be because emo/pop-punk music is a guilty pleasure of mine. Or it could just be that they are good.
